Open Question: Need help finding the right snowboard for me?

I'm 6 ft, 175 lbs. Just started snowboarding this season and now i am looking to receive my possess gear for next season. I like hitting jumps in the park and tiny kickers on trails. Also like flying down the mountain sometimes. I have seen others on the hill buttering and now i want to learn to do that plus i will be trying to receive into different park features like rails. I know i am pretty much every over the place which is why i have no clue what board to receive... i have been looking at boards and one that i liked was the 2012 Burton blunt but i don't know if it is good for what i am wanting to do...multiple suggestions would be extremely helpful.

Open Question: Does he want to get more serious or end things?

A group of us from college went together snowboarding on holidays. Throughout the 8 days on the trip i spent most of my time with this guy. He taught me how to snowboard, we went to dinner together and we were with each other in the nightclubs etc. On the plane on the way back he turned around to me and said "look once we receive back home i don't want you to feel you have to find excuses to end this like if you don't want to continue just say so because i value your friendship so much." I'm really confused because i don't know if this means he wants to go back to just being friends or he is just being insecure and needs me to tell him i want to continue seeing him.

So i ran it below the tap and noticed that the water doesnt flake off, but the inside of the coat isnt effected it seems because i cant feet any water. does this mean its waterproof still?

Open Question: When snowboarding, why can't you strap in your free foot when on the chair lift?

I've been snowboarding 5 times now, and it seems like it might be possible to strap in your back foot into your back binding. I've never seen anyone do this before though. Why? Is it dangerous? Discourage by ski resorts? Or in practice not possible without potentially falling off the seat lift?

Open Question: snowboard scratches after snowboarding?

The bottom of my snowboard has scratches and a worn down look on some edges. Is that the wax that is scratched or the actual snowboard? I'm a noob so enlighten me. some scratches look nice of deep. How can I re wax it to check? I just went down the slopes, didn't hit rocks, and didn't go to a terrain park or anything.

Open Question: Will he get over me cheating?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost three years, i adore him so much, the relationship we have is so special and magical. I am so close to him, and feel like i could adore nobody else. I have an extremley low self esteem, and often feel like nobody cares for me. My boyfriend went snowboarding and at the weekend i got horrendousley drunk and kissed another boy. I kissed him twice in that night and didn't cease him. I told my boyfriend everything the next day, and he got mad on the phone (which isnt his character at every). I went to his home yesterday and he was very icy. We had sex but there was no adore in it at every. This morning he cried, hes never cried before and he just cried for ages. He is completely heartbroken and i dont know what to do. Its completely my fault and i know i deserve every bit of pain i feel, every bit of shit i receive. I adore him so much and i know i do so do not tell me otherwise. I just need to know will it ever be the same, can we receive through this, What can i do to help him? I welcome any abuse as i feel as though i deserve it. I dont think i can live with out him, but i know he deserves better than me.

Open Question: Pain after skiing/snowboarding?

Hello. Yesterday I went snowboarding and skiing. At the beginning of the day I fell into a seated position difficult, I immediately felt severe pain. After a while I became very icy and was mostly numb, so the pain seemed to subsided a tiny amount. I took one more fall during the day, bringing the pain back. I have felt severe pain on my tailbone and lower back as well as discomfort in my hips, butt, and legs. Could you please advise me? I also have continuous pain sitting, or laying.

Open Question: Need your opinions about my boyfriend..?

I am in grade 10 and he is in grade 12. We started dating in January , and tomorrow is our one month . This weekend he went to banff for something called the S-trip. It's basically where a whole bunch of people go snowboarding/ skiing and receive drunk the whole weekend. Anyways, whenever i text him he ALWAYS texts back, but this weekend he texted me like twice! :( then there are photos of him on facebook with girls number written on him, and girls with him hugging him and stuff :( after i seen the photos my heart melted.. i couldn't even describe. and tomorrow is our one month :( then my pal texted him, and he replied.. but not to me? like what is this? I was thinking if he texted me back tonite I would ignore his messages, and tomorrow at school, I wont walk past his locker to look him between every classes like I do. Then after school or at lunch, I will like try and avoid him as much as possible.. should i do this? will it give him a taste of his possess medicine? or what? I need your help im crazy for this guy, but after tonite I am heartbroken :(

Open Question: Looking to buy a snowboard?

Went snowboarding the other day for the first time and I'm hooked. I want to buy a snowboard but have no idea what nice as far as the different board shapes go. I would like to do freestyle and also be able to just cruise down hills. I was on the burton website looking at the flying v, rocker v, and camber but I'm not sure which one is best suited for freestyle and a beginner. 500 is my max price with boots board and bindings. I will probably go to dicks sporting goods to but this so a couple different options would be nice.

Open Question: How can I lose weight around my stomach/hips?!?

I've changed my diet since ages now so I eat loads or fruit and veg, I've clip out chocolate and sweets etc. totally and I only eat when I'm hungry, plus I only drink water. Also I do 3 hours snowboarding a week, swim for an hour every Wednesday and every morning and night I do 10pressups or so and random ones in-between, plus I do general stretched and other exercises when I have time. I've lost some weight, I was a size 16 now I'm down to a 14 but the fat around my stomach and hips won't budge :/ my arms legs are face are fine but my stomachs just not moving, how can I shift the weight?! I'm already doing quite a bit plus juggling school work and the fact that I can only just afford what I do already but this is really annoying me now No, I'm not one of those thin girls whose convinced she's fat, I actually am What else can I do to help? I want to lose it before my prom/roa in June but I don't think that's realistic so really I'm aiming for summer holidays so I can be glad in my body then What can I do? Also I'm 16 years old and it's taken me about a year to drop that dress size The fats mainly at the front, and it's not in rolls like it used to be, just there, from the side the bottom bit is kinda in-line with my boobs but I want to lost that and tone up Also is it possibly to receive rid of back-flab without getting beastly muscles? I don't have much just a tiny bit but it shows sometimes Plus I'm aiming for a size twelve because it's realistic for my shoulderwidth and no I won't go over the top with losing it :P I don't want an uber-skinny figure, just one that means I can be glad with myself and have fun without worrying about my fat showing through clothes, it's gross

Open Question: Is it weird that I don't care about football?

I always hear people, including some of my friends, talking about football. I've never cared for it, and I've never been interested in it. It's nice of fun to play with friends but I've never enjoyed watching it. I'm not even watching the Superbowl right now. The only sports I like watching are skateboarding, snowboarding, and boxing. Is it weird that I don't care about football?

Open Question: Need help urgently with my ankle?

Okay so last night i was at a party and i rolled my left ankle over ... And it was very painfull so i just tried to walk it off and i was drunk so i didnt really put much thought into it.. Now though this morning it is like really painfull to walk on .. Its just over my foot arch on the inside where it hurts.. I normally wouldnt care except on wednesday i am going snowboarding and it have been planned for months and im really looking forward to it... So what can i do to make it better(ish) by wednesday so i can board.. I dont really need to be able to twist it around just put weight on it .. Please give me some ideas cause it is costing over $4000 and i really need to be better for it Thanks guys

Open Question: Went snowboarding for the first time?

I ride regular and I learned how to go into a stopping slide and turn from riding regular to goofy (I have no idea what this is called.) I can somewhat ride down a hill but I still fall a lot. I was wondering if there are any tips that you guys have that can help me become a better rider. I tend to fall a lot when I switch from Regular to Goofy. I also wanna know if you guys have tips on how to switch ride or whatever its called. To be honest any nice of tips are helpful. Thanks!

So i like going out rockclimbing/repelling. Either during the day or at night. I spend most my time out at the park staring at the stars and hanging out with my friends at the pool hall. That or im working on their cars cus they have zero idea what theyre doing. I go boating and snowboarding. Does that make me undatable? sleepy of being single. O i have a sports car with license dish CMEFLY cus im chilly kid and i fly down the freeway and town. You can catch me at 125 when ever im out driving. And i adore racing with other people. I am a 17 year old male from Great Britain. I am 5'9 tall, 130 lbs, am still growing and I am contemplating buying myself a snowboard. I would consider myself intermediate/advanced at snowboarding (double blacks etc). However I have only ever had rental boards and therefore have not yet found my preferred board type. Open Question: Knee injury help!? Please!?

I was snowboarding last week and it was very icy. I hit the out side of my left knee while falling pretty badly and stopped snowboarding for a while. I decided to go back and ended up hitting the same part again. I stopped cause it hurt pretty badly just to walk. It hurt for. 2 days And than kinda lingered off. But when I extend my left knee there is a lump on the left front section of my knee. It only hurts a lot when I twist it the wrong way! What can this be??? Thanks!

Open Question: Do I have a problem? I'm really worried :(?

Hi! Please try and read my story and leave a little comment, I promise I'll appreciate every little piece of advise you can give me! Thank you in advance! :) So I am a guy, I'm 18 and just finished the first semester here at the University. The problem is: I'm a virgin, never even kissed a girl. I'm starting to receive worried here... I am nice, silly, every my colleagues say I'm a great guy, smart, I'm the best at informatics from my year. I'm 181cm tall, 82kg, I work out regularly and I sometimes go swimming and snowboarding. The problem is this: I don't have any time for anything else: I can't miss classes, I receive home at 7 or 8 each evening, can't go out (can't afford it and don't have time). I'm a self-taught web designer and I like to do it as a hobby, but that takes up every little time I may have left. I'm a romantic, I dream about a perfect girl, I believe in destiny (only destiny could still keep my romantic life now), I believe in adore at first sight. I like being gentle and tender around girls, but I 'man up' around my guy friends. I stand up for what I believe, even if that means fighting with some of my friends. I don't know what's wrong with me, really. That's why I came here. :( I actually think I would be a good psychology study case :P I came to France last year, when I started college here. Maybe that adds up to the problem, I don't talk french too well :( and I guess that's a turnoff, too. But my biggest flaw is, in my opinion, my lack of knowledge of the opposite sex: I don't know how to seem interesting to a girl, how to approach a girl if I'm alone, how to be silly in french. I had one girlfriend once, if I can call her that, around 2-3 years ago, with which I had a great time: walks in the park, sitting on benches, holding hands and watching the sun go down, together, and just talking and talking for hours. But then we broke up after around 1 month of great time, when we faught over basically nothing, and I never got the chance to kiss her. But I don't blame the 15 y-o me for not having guts, I mean - 15!, but I blame the now-me, for not getting close to any other girl up until now. So this is my story ... and I am really worried I may have a problem that I'm not aware of, and I really don't have neither the time, nor the money to receive help. Open Question: I hurt my thumb and now it aches and i can't bend it all the way. what have i done?

I was snowboarding on a homemade snowboard with my pal in really little snow. the hill was really bumpy because there are usually animals in there. i basically hot a bump and fell off, when i landed my thumb went into a hole. i can move my thumb but it's swelling on the 2nd knuckle and it hurts when i move it. any ideas on what i've done? It's not bent or anything and i can move it so i didn't think it was broken :/

seems to be a pattern with guys acting werid around me, this time it's a guy in one of my classes. in class, i asked to look on with him since i didn't have my book, and he's like "um...ok..sure" then a week later I go to take snowboarding lessons and he's the instructor, so i think he's going to be a douche when he acts like he doesn't know me, but keeps staring at me. when i saw he had an incorrect name tag on, i said, "that's not your name." and he said his real name was a secret. guys act aloof around me like they hate me or something. i'm not mean or ugly and odor good lol, a bit shy though, yet giggle a lot. anyway, during lessons, he said i was doing great and kept wanting me to try more harder moves even when i didn't think i could do it and he made lots of jokes, but when i tried talking to him he gave one word answers. why guys do that?

Open Question: My boyfriend is going on a snowboarding trip alone with 5 other guys. Should I be worried?

Every guy but one has a girlfriend, but two of the guys are pigs when it comes to women I know there will be a lot of drinking going on, and the guys are staying in a condo of some sort. Open Question: Wrestling On A Torn Meniscus - please help?

I have been to the doctor for a torn meniscus, and he said he was sure I had a torn meniscus. I wanted to continue wrestling, however, so we opted to not receive an MRI. I was on crutches for a week, then slowly started to wrestle again. It has been roughly a month since I "tore" it, and I am having doubts. It hurts, but the pain is mild. I am starting to want to never receive the MRI/surgery, and I also have a snowboarding trip next weekend. Please tell me if I'm being dumb risking it. At this point, I don't think I really have a torn meniscus

Open Question: I need some advice..?

So two weekends ago, my boyfriend bailed on me to go out of town with his friends, and when i asked him to arrive he simply didn't want me too. So i thought okay he just wants to hang with his friends, and that was fine. But recently he has been working tardy, and stuff to make a lot of money so i haven't been seeing him that often. But i haven't been too worried about it. I understand that space in a relationship is really good, and stuff, so yeah, Im kinda worried though that he just doesn't wanna look me, he says he loves me, and wants to be with me, he just wants some pal time. I just got out of the hospital today, and we had plans together, and than he cancelled to try and receive friends to go out of town to go snowboarding, but in the end nobody could, So i asked him to hangout and he decided to go into work tomorrow, so after wards i asked him if we were hanging tomorrow after work and he replied with possibly and i said what would make it a no? and he said i don't know. I worry to much about stuff like this, cause i have never felt this way towards a man before, but im worried he is slowly inching away from me. I look him on the week days for about 3 hours, but i miss our tardy movie cuddle nights and such.. Have any of you had a situation like this? and should i be worried? Were young, he`s 18 and Ì`m 17.

Resolved Question: Getting a snowboard for around $230--sound OK?

I am in college. I went on my 4th snowboarding lesson for college class. I can do S turns and do blue diamonds. I am 5'7" and 120 lbs. I want a short board up to my shoulders or chin. I want a board that can carve and is well balanced. My family friends are probably taking me out to an outlet store that sells old but new snowboarding gear. They have good gear. Is $230 a good price to pay for every the top but old gear that includes the board, boots, and bindings? Anything, I should know? Are my wants very realistic? ty

Open Question: CA Law on Renting Equipment for Minors?

BACKSTORY: Today, my 14 year old brother informed me that he wanted to go skiing tomorrow. We found out that his snowboarding boots don't fit him, so we went to the local sporting goods store. We waited in line for an hour and a half behind 2 customers because the store's computers were down. Anyways, after waiting, I tell the guy at the counter that I want to rent some boots, and then I tell him that I want to rent them for my brother. He tells me that STATE LAW prohibits him from letting me rent gear for him, and that I need to have a parent/guardian gift. My parents are out of town for the next few days and won't be home in time to rent gear in time. No snowboarding for him I guess... THE QUESTION: In order to rent gear for a minor, does the minor's parents have to be gift (below state law)? I am 18
